Thepracticaltrainingisoneoftheidealmethodsoftrainingforimprovingthehealthcareprovidedforpatients,thereforetheNTIseekingthemostupdatedequipmentofsimulationwhichisHumanPatientSimulator(HPS).TheHPSisacomputer-driven-model,containsasimulationprogramshowingexactlywhatgoesonwiththepatientintheOR.Furthermore,newprogramsmaybeaddedandsavedtothemainsimulator.TheultrasophisticatedandhighlyversatileHPSblinks,speaksandbreathes,hasaheartbeatandpulse,andaccuratelymirrorshumanresponsestosuchproceduresasCPR,intravenousmedication,intubations,ventilation,andcatheterization..TheHPSisusedtotrainphysiciansonhowtodealwithvariouscasesthatdevelopinORconsideringthattheSimulatorisprogrammedtorespondtovariousdrugdoses,DCshock,ventilatorandothers;accordingly,traineescanbenefittoagreatextent.

TheintensivecaresectionhasbeenequippedwithallequipmentnecessaryfortheestablishmentofanintensivecareenvironmentexactlysimilartoICUsinhospitals(forexample:intensivecarescreens,ventilators,DCshocks,etc)

Inthislab,thereareallequipmentnecessaryfortrainingonBasicandAdvancedCardio-PulmonaryResuscitation,usingEndo-TrachealTubesandDCshockandotherequipmentthatusedinsidetheERinthehospitals.

InthisLabthetraineestrainedonhowtousethesimulatorforsinuscopyinadditiontotheanatomicalanddemonstratingmodels.Theseequipmentprovidearealobservationofthecomponentsofearsandnose

Trainingwillbeonthevarioustechnologiesusedinclinicallabs,includingbiochemistry,Haematology,clinicalpathology,etc.Thelabcontainsstate-of-the-artequipmenttoupdatethephysiciansonthelatesttechnologyanddiscoveriesusedinthefield.

Themodelavailableinthelabfacilitatesidentificationoftheproblemandallowsforathoroughandcomprehensiveexamination.Themodelmatchesthehumanteethinsolidity,givingarealfeelwhenusingthetherapeutictoolsandmeans.Traininginthelabincludesbeingfamiliarwithmostofthediseasesthatinfectthegumandteethandthemeansofdiagnosingandtreatingthem.ThelabProvidespracticingofmajordentalproceduresincludingextractionandsurgery.

Traininginthelabisdoneonnumerousequipmentassimulatorforheartsoundsandtrainingmodelsforheartsandcirculatorysystem.Inadditiontoanatomicalmodelsforheartandvascularsystem.Inthistraininglab,thetraineestrainacquiretheskillsofusinghightechvascularsurgicalendoscopies

INthisLabthetraineesaretrainedonsurgicalinterventionmodels.Physiciansaretrainedonhowtostitchwoundsandbloodvesselsandhowtodomicroscopicsurgeries.Additionally,italsoallowstrainingusinglaparoscopicequipmentandendoscopy

Thetraineesaretrainedonmanysurgeryorthopaedicskillsbyusingsimulatedbonesampleswhichmatchhumanbonesfordevelopingtheskillsoffixingbrokenbonesandreplacejoints.AlsothisLabcontainsBoneendoscopemodewhichusedindiagnosingknee,shoulder,elbowandanklediseases.

Thereisasimulatedeyemodelforstudyingthefunctionofthehumaneye.Theflexiblelensallowstraineestofocusanimageontheretinaandthechangeableshapetodemonstratenear-sightedness,far-sightednessandnormalvision.

ThisLabincludesequipmentfortrainingonexaminingprostate.Inaddition,therearesimulators,urethroscope,electrosurgicalunit,TURPmodel.Allthesemodelsandequipmentfortrainingonextractingkidneyandurinarystonesaswellasmanagementofurologicaldiseases.

ThisLabisanotheradditionalprivilegetothecapabilitiesofNTIasitincludesadvancedendoscopiesandsimulators.thatallowdoctorstoteachandpracticethehandlinganduseofdifferentendoscopestoexaminegastro-intestinalincludingtheesophagus,stomachandcolon.Inadditiontobronchoscopeandsurgicalendoscopiesthatallowtraineestoimplementdifferentsurgeriesbyusingthemostupdatedtools.AftertraininginthisLab,thecandidatescontinuedtheirtraininginanimallabunderthesupervisionofhighlyqualifiedinstructors.

Inthislabtherearemanymodelsandsimulatorsthatsimulatethenormaldelivery.Thelabincludeslaparoscopy,pelviscopicoperationmodelandbreastexaminationmodelthatallowthetraineestostudydifferentgynaecologicalproblemsandtrainingonmanagingdifferentpositionsofthebabyduringbirth.

Thislabwasrecentlyestablishedtosatisfytheurgenttrainingneedrequestedfromdifferentspecialists.Thestateofartultrasonicmachinesareusedfordiagnosisabdomenandpelvis.Inaddition,thereisECHOforheartexaminationandcolourDopplerforexaminingarteriesandveins

AcomprehensivelabwasestablishedfortrainingonanimalsincooperationwiththeGeneralAuthorityofVeterinaryServicesandwithJohnsonandJohnsonfortheoperationonanimalsasatrainingprocedure.Thelabcontainstwooperationroomsequippedwithtwounitsforpracticaltraining.ThisLabequippedwithmodernequipmenttofacilitatepracticaltraininginanatmospheresimilartotherealsituationinsideoperatingroom.Theanimallabisconsideredafundamentalpartofthesurgicaltrainingprogramswhichincludesendoscopesurgeries,staplersandvascularsurgeries.

Training Halls

The Institute contains 12 training halls of various sizes and capacities. The halls are equipped to suit different types of training. Each hall is equipped with complete set of audiovisual system according to the size and number of trainees

Computer Lab

There are two labs each contains 20 PCs and could used as language lab

Library

The library is a 3-story building including, the first story includes medical books, references and periodicals while the second one includes the main research hall.
The research hall has been furnished with luxurious furnishing to accommodate 100 researches and trainees together in one hall at a calm atmosphere . The third story further contains e-library which provides the facility of connecting to International libraries through the internet and video conferencing system. The library contains a lot of medical textbooks and periodic for all medical specialties from local and international sources. In addition to the medical specialized books and periodics , there are textbooks in health managements that support the training in health management and health economics. These training will improve and promote the capacity building of the MOHP leaders as the MOHP realize that management is a corner stone in the success of providing health care.

Hotel

The Institute provides a four-star Hotel for the residence of the trainers and trainees. The Hotel is a four-story building consisting of 16 luxuriously furnished double rooms, a restaurant seating 90 people and a swimming pool on the ground floor.

Mosque

There is a small mosque which accommodate 50 persons. The mosque is well ventilated with air condition system. There is small library full of Holly Koran and religious books
